CoachConnect Privacy Policy

How CoachConnect collects, uses, protects, shares, and retains information across accounts, messaging, bookings, reports, and payments.

By creating an account, accessing, or using CoachConnect, you acknowledge that personal information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

1) Definitions

Coach means a user offering coaching, training plans, sessions, or related services.

Trainee means a user seeking coaching or training services.

Booking means a scheduled session or agreed service arrangement made through the Platform.

Transaction means a payment made through the Platform for services.

Content means any text, images, videos, messages, files, reviews, or other material posted or transmitted through the Platform.

Off-Platform means any communication, booking, or payment that bypasses CoachConnect tools.

2) Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected when you create or manage an account, use discovery and booking features, send messages, track training and diet progress, make or receive transactions, and submit support or safety reports.

3) Information We Collect

We collect account and profile information such as name, email, password hash, profile photo, bio, location, specialties, goals, pricing, and availability.

Optional training and nutrition data may include workout logs, diet entries, progress metrics, notes, and report inputs.

We collect messages, attachments, support communications, reports, evidence files, and transaction metadata needed to operate the platform.

We also collect device, usage, approximate location, cookie, security, and processor/provider signals needed to run and protect the service.

4) How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to operate accounts, discovery, scheduling, messaging, analytics, weekly reports, payments, payouts, refunds, disputes, and support workflows.

We also use information to detect and prevent fraud, scams, harassment, and off-platform circumvention, and to enforce the Platform Integrity Policy and the reporting and rewards program.

5) How We Share Your Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share profile and booking information with other users when needed to deliver the service, with service providers and payment processors, or when required for safety, enforcement, legal compliance, or business transfers.

Reporter identity is generally withheld from the reported user unless disclosure is required by law or necessary for safety or enforcement.

6) Messaging, Monitoring, Reports, And Evidence

CoachConnect provides private messaging and may use automated and manual review only as needed for fraud prevention, safety, dispute handling, and policy enforcement.

When suspicious activity is detected or a report is submitted, CoachConnect may review related content and booking or transaction context, request additional evidence, and temporarily restrict messaging or place funds or payout holds when needed for safety or fraud prevention.

Report evidence and investigation outcomes may be retained to enforce strike rules, prevent repeat abuse, maintain platform safety and financial integrity, and comply with legal obligations.

7) Cookies And Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, fraud prevention, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser and device settings, although disabling some cookies may reduce functionality.

8) Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the services, maintain booking and transaction records, investigate reports, enforce policies, resolve disputes or chargebacks, and comply with legal obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it unless retention is required by law or legitimate business needs.

9) Security

CoachConnect uses reasonable safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls, secure password hashing, and monitoring. No system is completely secure, so you should also protect your credentials.

10) Your Choices And Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of certain personal information, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Many profile fields can be updated directly in account settings. Privacy requests can be submitted from your settings area or by contacting support.

11) International Transfers

CoachConnect may store and process information in Canada and other countries where CoachConnect or its providers operate, and reasonable steps are taken to protect data transferred outside your jurisdiction.

12) Children's Privacy

CoachConnect is not intended for children. Users must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If we learn we collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it.

13) Changes To This Privacy Policy

CoachConnect may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice such as an in-app notice or email.
